The University of Georgia's fight song, "Glory, Glory to Old Georgia," uses this tune, which was written for an 1852 camp meeting in Charleston, South Carolina by William Steffe as "Say Brothers Will We Meet You Over on the Other Shore?" It was later used for Julia Ward Howe's "Battle Hymn of the Republic."
